Japan Understood helps international visitors make better decisions before a trip: what to learn, what to book, and how to approach customs without turning local practice into a list of stereotypes.
How we work
Guides combine traceable public information, primary sources, and clearly identified editorial judgment. Product and travel claims are checked against the organization responsible for the service or rule, then framed around the reader's actual decision.
Responsible automation
AI-assisted tools support research organization, drafting, and site maintenance. They do not replace source review. We check citations, remove unsupported first-hand claims, and keep commercial links separate from editorial conclusions.
Corrections
Material errors are corrected when identified, with the controlling source and review date updated where appropriate. A dedicated public contact address is being prepared; until then, no personal address or unattended contact form is published.
